Typically, the WBA has over 25 travel teams in grades 4 through 8 which includes boys and girls.
The typical time commitment for the season will be practice two school nights per week with games typically held on weekends.  There are times where games may be scheduled (home or away) during the week based on gym availability.  

Winter travel league seasons usually start in the beginning of December and run through early March. Some travel teams play in pre-season and post-season tournaments.

The typical season may include more games for the older aged teams with the 7th and 8th graders playing in the neighborhood of 16-20 games and a tournament or two. The younger teams will be playing 16 games during the year and a tournament or two.  

The WBA is encouraging interested parents with basketball backgrounds to contact us if there is an interest in being a Head Coach or an Assistant Coach of one of our travel teams. Your child need not be on a team that you would be willing to coach. Please contact the appropriate VP of Travel Basketball listed under our Board link.

Players can try out and participate for a travel team for one year/season at each respective grade level.  Players may not play in the same grade level two consecutive years.

ALL COACHES ARE REQUIRED TO HAVE TAKEN THE RUTGERS S.A.F.E.T.Y COURSE AND TO SUBMIT BACKGROUND INFORMATION TO THE WBA IN COMPLIANCE WITH OUR SAFE KIDS PROGRAM.
